The Competency Matrix with AI is a practical, visual tool that helps teams map their skills and compare them with the current and future capabilities of AI.
By using it, you will:
Identify where humans bring unique value and where AI already competes.
Spot opportunities for upskilling and reskilling within your team.
Spark meaningful conversations on the evolving role of humans and intelligent agents.
Scenario
1) Each team member adds their name to a column
2) Pick a competency (technical, soft skill, leadership, marketing…) and add it to the matrix
3) Everyone marks their own skill level (🟥 low, 🟨 medium, 🟩 high)
4) Discuss and add the AI’s skill level, now and in the coming years
5) Repeat with 2 or 3 more competencies
Tips:
you can print the sheet or import the png file into a shared online board (Miro, Mural…)
you can use the scenario in the PDF file or adapt the sheet to your actual team
